Position Summary The Beverage Manager oversees all bar and beverage operations throughout the club, ensuring an exceptional experience for members and guests. Responsibilities include purchasing, inventory control, beverage service, staff training, and financial management of the beverage program. The Beverage Manager works closely with the Food & Beverage Managers to ensure club standards, operational procedures, and service protocols are consistently upheld. Reports to the Executive Director of Food & Beverage. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Manages all bar areas and beverage service operations across club outlets and events. Manages on course Beverage Carts and shipping and receiving. Maintains an organized beverage inventory system for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, mixers, glassware, and bar supplies. Responsible for training and supervision of all bar personnel, ensuring adherence to Club policies and service standards. Responsible for scheduling of beverage cart and shipping and receiving team. Ensures proper cleanliness and sanitation of all bar areas, glassware, and equipment. Implements standard operating procedures to optimize efficiency, maintain quality, and minimize labor costs. Monitors and maintains appropriate liquor, wine, and beer inventory levels through an effective inventory management system. Responsible for developing and maintaining wine lists, cocktail menus, and beverage promotions. Responsible for planning and executing Club events with a focus on beverage offerings, including tournaments and special functions. Responsible for developing and enforcing beverage control procedures to minimize loss and optimize revenue. Ensures compliance with all alcohol laws and club policies related to beverage service. Collaborates with purchasing personnel to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of beverage products and supplies. Participates in sanitation, safety, and maintenance inspections related to beverage operations. Responsible for budget development, monitors financial performance, and takes corrective action to achieve budgeted goals. Ensures proper cash handling, POS accuracy, and adherence to financial controls. Responsible for monthly beverage inventory counts and reporting. Responsible for in developing staff training programs on beverage trends, cocktail preparation, wine knowledge, and food pairings. Promotes beverage sales through staff education and member engagement. Maintains positive member relations, responding to requests and concerns professionally and promptly. Performs Manager-on-Duty (MOD) responsibilities as needed, including opening and closing procedures. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as a Beverage Director, Beverage Manager or Bar Manager, in a high-volume or upscale dining environment. Previous bartender or bar supervisor experience required. High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred. Certification in Mixology, Wine, or Spirits (e.g., Level I or II Sommelier, Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW), or equivalent wine certification) required. Experience managing beverage programs, including ordering, inventory, and cost control. Strong background in wine, spirits, beer, and mixology, and beverage trends, with an emphasis on creating craft cocktails and pairing beve
