Introduction Join a fun, growing, innovative, community-based bicycle shop in the Bicycle Capital of the World. We’re seeking an experienced Bicycle Sales Manager who’s ready to combine creativity, customer connection, technical knowledge, and strong business acumen in a role with real impact. This position goes beyond day-to-day sales. You’ll play a key role in shaping shop operations, elevating the customer experience, and launching new initiatives. You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to business development and bring your ideas to life. Position Overview The Sales Manager will drive revenue through in-store leadership, team development, and digital growth initiatives. This role combines retail management with social media strategy, content creation, online customer engagement, and potential B2B support . Key Responsibilities Sales & Team Leadership Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed goals Deliver an exceptional customer experience in-store and online Manage daily operations including scheduling, floor coverage, and performance tracking Train staff on product knowledge across bikes, gear, and services Collaborate with the service department for seamless customer support Cultivate business relationships to secure long term partnerships Merchandising, Inventory & Strategy Optimize store layout and product displays to increase sales Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and cycle counts Monitor inventory levels to ensure proper stock of bikes, parts, and accessories Work with vendors and suppliers to maintain optimal product availability and margins Analyze sales trends and adjust inventory and product mix accordingly Help plan promotions, seasonal campaigns, and in-store events Social Media & Digital Growth Manage and grow social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) Create engaging content (photos, short videos, promotions, cycling tips, events) Promote products, sales, and community rides through digital channels Respond to online inquiries and convert engagement into sales Track performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversions) and refine strategy Assist in developing online sales channels and e-commerce initiatives Qualifications 2+ years of retail sales experience (management preferred) Experience working in the bicycle industry (bike shop, cycling brand, or related field) strongly preferred Strong leadership and team-building skills Passion for cycling and solid knowledge of bicycles, components, and accessories Experience managing or growing social media accounts for a business Comfortable creating content (photo/video) and writing engaging captions Understanding of basic marketing metrics and digital engagement strategies Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets Excellent communication and customer service skills Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary + performance-based bonuses Employee discounts on bikes, gear, and accessories Opportunities for career growth Flexible scheduling Creative input in marketing and branding initiatives Why Join FreeWheeler?
