Job OverviewJoin our dynamic food manufacturing team as a Food Manufacturing Operator! In this energetic role, you will be at the heart of our production process, ensuring that high-quality food products are created efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.You will operate machinery, monitor production lines, and uphold rigorous food safety and sanitation protocols.This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of delicious, safe food products in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Essential Responsibilities:Safety Compliance:Follow all safety procedures as outlined by La Chiquita Tortilla Manufacturer to maintain a safe working environment.Quality Control:Ensure products are produced safely, legally, and with the desired quality, following the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) in line with the Food Safety Quality Management System.Product Handling:Handle all ingredients and products with care to maintain their quality and appearance, minimizing waste and defects.Sanitation:Keep the work area, tools, and supplies organized and sanitary throughout the shift, maintaining cleanliness of equipment to a high standard.Documentation:Complete and maintain accurate product documentation for quality assurance and food safety records.Reporting:Immediately report any issues or concerns related to GMP's, HACCP, or the Food Safety Quality Management System to management.Problem Reporting:Report equipment malfunctions or accidents to the Shift Supervisor or Production Manager.Other Duties:Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager, as needed, to ensure efficient operation.Essential Duties:Mixing:Combine all raw materials in the proper sequence, ensuring each ingredient is added and processed for the correct amount of time as outlined in the Tortilla mixing system (Formula Sheet).Ingredient Management:Rotate mixed ingredients to the production line as needed.Supply Management:Ensure the production line is continuously supplied with ingredients, maintaining the pace set by the Packer Leader.Batch Documentation:Complete and deliver all batch forms (Formula Sheets) to the Plant Manager at the end of the shift.Area Supervision:Maintain and supervise the cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and supplies throughout the shift.Training Support:Assist in training new employees and mixing area helpers.Batch Verification:Verify that all batches produced during your shift meet the required standards.Flexibility:Perform any other duties as requested by the Plant Manager to support plant operations.Skills and Qualifications:Language:Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.Conversational Spanish is a plus, with English study opportunities available for Spanish-speaking employees.Experience:Preferably 1 year of experience in food manufacturing, though not required.Education:Minimum High School diploma or GED.Skills:Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.Independence:Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Physical Ability:Ability to stoop, kneel, climb, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, talk, hear, lift, and perform repetitive motions as required.Weight Handling:Ability to frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.Equipment Operation:Ability to operate a pallet jack and other material handling equipment as necessary.Physical Demands:Must be able to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) frequently during the shift.Must be capable of working in a fast-paced, sometimes physically demanding environment.Must be comfortable standing, walking, and performing repetitive motions throughout the shift.#MAR Job Type:Full-time Pay:$18.00 - $19.00 per hour Work Location:In person.
