Bilingual Production Lead

Sweet Penny is looking for a full-time team lead to help with our wholesale chocolate covered cookie operation that includes distribution of multiple items to retail locations coast to coast. What are you going to be doing? Managing HIGH VOLUME production of assorted chocolate covered items. You know the famous chocolate scene from I Love Lucy? Bingo. Production hours are 6 AM to 2 PM Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a food manufacturing environment or as a lead line cook / sous chef looking to take the next step or simply to get their nights and weekends back. Our established staff is both English and Spanish speaking without your typical industry turnover - the average tenure here is over 3years with some at 10+. We re simply looking for the right person who wants to grow with the stability of a corporate job minus all the headaches. Role Responsibilities Manage and assist in production of various chocolate covered items + baked goods in pallet quantities with a team of 8-10. Assistance with inventory management. Help troubleshoot equipment failures with maintenance staff. Enforce company policies and procedures to maximize product quality and ensure the operational excellence of the facility. Ability to think on your feet and come up with creative solutions to issues in the production area. Qualifications Must be fluently Bilingual (English/Spanish) 1+ year(s)of team leading experience Food manufacturing experience is a plus Baking and chocolate handling / confectionary experience are a plus but not necessary Ability to lift 50# Good attitude and willingness to go the extra mile $18/hour + DOE Health Insurance available after 90 days 100% local with no stiff corporate rules
