A leading Food manufacturing company is seeking a Bilingual Production Manager to lead production planning and operational execution. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operations leader with experience in manufacturing environments and team leadership . Working collaboratively, the new leader will improve productivity by streamlining workflows and managing production teams while maintaining quality standards, meeting output targets, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Salary + Additional Benefits: $70,000-$75,000 + DOE Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Retirement Plan 401K Location: Katy, TX Type of Position : Direct Hire Hours: M-F 6:30-3:30; Saturdays if needed Responsibilities: Support in creating a daily production schedule of materials for processing. This includes ensuring job sheet numbers, lot numbers and packaging requirements are correct for all blend jobs, raw ingredients or finished product. Provide information to the Production Coordinator and ensure a consistent and efficient flow of jobs are provided to the Production teams on a daily basis. Maintain communication with management and key personnel regarding any issues or delays in meeting expected completion dates. Identify and propose process abnormalities or inefficiencies and discuss making changes with the VP Operations. Prepare and post daily job production priority lists, along with any special instructions not included on the job sheets, for day and night shifts to ensure jobs are produced in the correct order and are ran efficiently with minimal downtime. Set performance expectations on each job sheet and material and monitor them closely to ensure operators are running efficiently. Provide a material list to the Steam Operators to ensure materials are being processed in the steam chambers to comply with the daily production schedule. Develop a solid understanding and knowledge of all equipment and every machine (e.g., Sweco, Mills, Nelmor, New Prater, etc). and learn all the assorted cuts and mesh sizes per machine, per material. Train all operators on the most efficient technique to maximize yield and minimize processing time. Ensure verification is noted on finished products sent to Gardena location. Operators are required to provide samples of the finished product to QC for pick-up/testing. Ensure daily compliance of all GMP (good manufacturing practice) within the Production Department. Ensure ingredients are processed with as minimal handling as possible following HACCP/QC food handling requirements. Enforce the safe handling of equipment, follow proper procedures with special emphasis on safety (e.g., personal protective equipment). Ensure all production personnel are operating and handling all equipment according to safety training procedures/protocol. Coordinate with Receiving, the unloading of products from overseas containers and reverify weights. Production Coordinator will ensure empty containers are scheduled to be picked up with trucking dispatcher and returned. Create a material Production schedule, along with the President. Coordinate material runs for each piece of equipment to ensure minimum downtime and processing efficiency, according to the open order report and sales obligations. Coordinate with Quality Control and all team members in a collaborative manner, with the goal to produce a quality finished product for company’s general sales & Toll work customers. Coordinate daily Steam runs and all associated graphs, forms and equipment processes with the Steam department and coordinate with the VP Operations to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime. Develop a solid understanding of production needs, slowdowns, peak seasons, and utilize this information to maximize efficiency in the Production department. Provide month-end projections, as requested. Process all work to meet metrics/KPIs by continuously training all teams to operate equipment effectively and minimize downtime. Consistently monitor all milling screen inventory and ensure only screens that are in good condition are being utilized to produce quality finished product. Ensure all teams are cross trained on all milling and blending equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Attend Monthly Production Manager/Supervisor Meetings.
