Bilingual (Russian) Preschool Special Educator - Multidisciplinary Evaluations (CPSE)

Job Overview First Step Resources, LLC is seeking a qualified Preschool Special Educator (Students with Disabilities Birth-Grade 2) to join our Multidisciplinary Evaluation (MDE) team under the NYC DOE CPSE program.This role involves conducting educational evaluations for children ages 3-5 to determine eligibility for preschool special education services.The Preschool Special Educator leads the educational component of every MDE.The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of childhood development, special education practices, and assessment techniques to support early intervention and individualized education plans (IEPs).This role involves conducting comprehensive evaluations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and developing tailored educational strategies to foster optimal growth for children with diverse needs.The Preschool Special Educator will play a vital role in ensuring that children with disabilities or developmental delays receive appropriate support within inclusive preschool settings.Responsibilities Conduct educational evaluations for preschool-aged children (3-5 years) Participate as part of a multidisciplinary team (psychologist, related service providers) Prepare comprehensive, CPSE-compliant evaluation reports Submit documentation within required DOE timelines Communicate professionally with families and team members Requirements NYS Certification:Students with Disabilities (Birth-Grade 2) (Required) DOE PETS clearance (or willingness to obtain) Experience with preschool evaluations preferred Strong report-writing skills Ability to meet documentation deadlines What We Offer Flexible scheduling Per-evaluation compensation Supportive and organized administrative team Opportunity to grow with an expanding CPSE program Professional and collaborative environment Important Notes This is a per-diem, evaluation-based position.Payment is issued upon completion of evaluation and required documentation.Evaluations are conducted in person within NYC.Pay:$140.00 - $190.00 per hour Benefits:Flexible schedule License/Certification:Preschool Special Education Teacher (SWD Birth-Grade 2) (Required) Work Location:In person.
