Position Overview As a Billing Specialist , you will play a key role in managing insurance claims, patient accounts, and billing processes across pediatric and orthodontic departments. You'll ensure accurate billing, timely collections, and excellent communication with patients and insurance providers. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of dental billing systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with both clinical and administrative teams. Key Responsibilities Submit, track, and follow up on dental insurance claims Post insurance and patient payments accurately and timely Review accounts receivable and aging reports to ensure collections are up to date Audit patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies or claim denials Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Manage electronic claim submissions and resolve claim errors Update fee schedules and insurance information as needed Communicate with patients and families regarding billing questions and financial responsibilities Collaborate with front office and clinical teams to ensure accurate treatment coding and documentation Assist with reporting, reconciliation, and other billing-related tasks assigned by management What We're Looking For Mandatory 2 years of dental billing experience Strong knowledge of HMO & Medi-Cal Dental billing, pre-authorizations, NOAs, CIFs. Experience working with dental practice management software (Dentrix Ascend preferred) Strong understanding of insurance billing and collections processes Skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment Professional communication and customer service skills Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Schedule Full-time Monday–Friday Occasional Saturdays may be required based on office needs Ready to Make a Difference?
