The BIM Manager is responsible for the holistic process of exploring, piloting, standardizing, and supporting production tools and workflows (including Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud, along with firm platforms such as Guardian, Pirros, and Autodesk Content Catalog). This role is directly accountable to firm leadership for recommendations on tool strategy, rollout sequencing, and standards enforcement that advance the firm’s BIM capabilities while maintaining project stability. In addition to strategic work, the BIM Manager trains staff of all skill levels, administers and maintains OZ production add-ins and resources (e.g., OZ Tab and other approved add-ins), coordinates Revit version and add-in lifecycle management to reduce downtime, and occasionally assists with project documentation production. With direction from the Project Execution Committee and Director of IT, and in collaboration with the BIM Power User Group, the BIM Manager strives to maintain a strong, supportive, and efficient BIM environment across practice areas while continuously evaluating emerging workflows (e.g., Autodesk Forma) in a controlled, repeatable manner. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, computer science, IT, or related field. Five years of experience in the AEC industry with a minimum of five years of experience using Revit/VDC software and a minimum of two years directly supporting a BIM user environment. Experience working in a collaborative team environment where knowledge sharing is encouraged Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Drives innovation to keep OZ at the forefront of AEC technological development through strategic research, testing, development, and deployment of new and updated BIM software and workflows (e.g., emerging Autodesk tools such as Forma), with clear pilot criteria and controlled adoption to support project delivery. Owns and administers firm BIM governance platforms that support model health, standards automation, and repeatable best practices (including Guardian rules, settings, and enforcement workflows) and partners with IT to ensure stable firm-wide deployment. Leads firm detail/typical documentation governance through Pirros, including development of standard details, SOPs, review/QA expectations, and practice-area participation to reduce rework and improve consistency. Manages firm content strategy and platform transitions for Revit resources (e.g., UNIFI sunset and Autodesk Content Catalog rollout), including content vetting, cleanup, migration planning, and staff enablement. Assists teams with model setup, maintenance, modeling best practices, and Revit model version update processes. Oversees projects at a high level to ensure standards and workflow compliance across practice areas. Coordinates with the IT Department on BIM software and add-in lifecycle management, including license coordination, installation packaging, update tracking, and compatibility validation to reduce technical downtime (e.g., Revit version stability and add-in update compliance). Actively leads OZ BIM Power User Group and participates in Project Execution Committee (PEC), aligning BIM priorities to firm initiatives, risk posture, and operational needs. Prepares and delivers BIM training and knowledge sharing (e.g., Knowledge Boosters, targeted role-based training), including regularly posting content to the OZ intranet and reinforcing adoption during tool rollouts. Creates, maintains, and distributes Revit content, project templates, family libraries, detail libraries, scripting/parametric support, and other BIM-related resources, including QA/QC for standards accuracy. Provides end user support/troubleshooting of BIM-related technical issues through answering trouble tickets/calls; assists BIM Leads and project teams in resolving model errors and workflow blockers. Develops and maintains BIM execution expectations for internal teams and external drafting/consultant partners as needed (e.g., BIM Consultant Addendum and BxP requirements), reinforcing standards, accountability, and delivery consistency.
