Our sequencing services are used daily by thousands of innovators—from leading academic labs to top global pharmaceutical companies. We started by transforming plasmid sequencing—making it dramatically faster and more affordable through cutting-edge technology and a globally distributed lab network. Now, we’re expanding that same model across the entire genomics landscape. With the launch of new RNA-seq capabilities, we’re taking a major step toward our vision: making sequencing universally accessible—faster, simpler, and more cost-effective for scientists everywhere. 🧬 The Role As a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer, you’ll help build the engine powering this transformation. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role where you’ll: Design and deploy high-performance bioinformatics pipelines that process thousands of samples daily Develop novel algorithms to transform raw sequencing data into accurate, actionable insights Integrate cutting-edge tools into scalable, production-ready workflows Debug and optimize pipelines handling real-world biological complexity Translate complex outputs into intuitive, user-friendly scientific experiences Collaborate closely with a fast-moving, interdisciplinary team Mentor peers while continuing to grow your own expertise 🌱 What We’re Looking For You’re someone who Takes ownership and thrives in fast-paced, high-autonomy environments Is deeply curious about biology, algorithms, and software engineering Is motivated by the real-world impact of accelerating biotech and medicine Communicates clearly and enjoys supporting team growth ✅ Qualifications PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or related quantitative field 3+ years building production-grade bioinformatics pipelines Core expertise in at least one area: Microbial genomics (assembly/metagenomics) Variant calling / large-scale genomics Bulk or single-cell RNA-seq Technical experience: Nextflow or Snakemake (production + cloud deployment) Strong foundation in sequence analysis (alignment, assembly, etc.) Experience with Illumina or Oxford Nanopore data Python (NumPy, Pandas, BioPython, Jupyter) Docker / containerization tools Git-based workflows Linux and production-level scripting Large-scale genomic data processing ⭐ Nice to Have Experience with C++, Rust, or other compiled languages Interest in scientific data visualization / UX Wet lab biology experience History of developing novel bioinformatics methods 🌍 Why Join?
