Job Family : Medical Records Travel Required : Up to 10% Clearance Required : None What You Will Do : Under limited supervision and following prescribed procedures, to maintain a continuous operation of birth data collection activities through data collection, abstraction, interviews with parents and electronic data submissions of birth and fetal death certificates to the Alabama Department of Vital Statistics. To ensure all certificates are completed for all newborns, securing necessary signatures and paternity affidavits, and data submitted to the Alabama Department of Vital Statistics within five (5) days of birth. To maintain birth registrar, perinatal database and compile statistical reports. To maintain proficiency in required competencies. To consistently demonstrate behavior that models Guidehouse and UAB Medicine core values and mission statements. What You Will Need : 1+ years medical/healthcare experience High School Diploma or equivalent. (Experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.)
