Vitaquest International is an industry-leading development and commercialization partner for consumer products in nutraceutical and functional foods.With over 40 years of history, Vitaquest has the market insight, global reach and scale of operations to support emerging and existing consumer brands from the idea to the store shelf with flawless execution in every phase.Today, Vitaquest creates and produces more than 4,000 customer formulas for more than 500 brands in over 40 countries.Vitaquest's employees follow an internal communications plan to encourage productivity and engagement within the organization.This is known as Vitaquest PROUD.We believe that each employee contributes directly to the organization's growth and success.We are looking for individuals who share our innovative spirit and hope will take pride in being a part of our Company.Shifts available:1st & 2nd.1st shift 6:00 am to 3:00 pm - Monday - Friday 2nd shift 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm - Monday - Friday Title:Blending and Encapsulation Operators Department:Manufacturing Reports To:Manufacturing Supervisor Blending Operator Position Purpose and Objectives As an Operator you are required to accurately weigh raw material ingredients for processing tablets, capsule, or powder formulations.Our Operators need to ensure Documentation and manufacturing activities related to powder blending, Compression etc..as per the formula and blending procedures (SOP's).Manufacturing Operator Essential Job Functions Manufacturing Operators must follow all GMP's and relevant SOP's to the position.Will cross train You with other areas; Compression, Blending, Pharmacy and Encapsulation.Accurately follows batch record.Stage raw materials needed for the weighing process.Weighs and labels ingredients.Verify all labels with batch records to ensure weights are properly recorded.Operators MUST operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.Ensures his work station is kept clean and safe during the weighing operation.Cleans equipment following proper sanitation techniques.Has strong interaction with representatives from other departments.Continuously trains, monitors, and supports the personnel assigned to his/her area of responsibility (including temporary help when applicable).Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary.Must be able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications for working in a cGMP, quality environment.Manufacturing Operator Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Good communication skills to enable communication with area supervisor.Must be able to read, write, and have basic math skill (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, rounding) Pay attention to detail.Demonstrates a high level of responsibility and knowledge of job functions.High School education (HS Diploma or GED) or one year mechanical and/or manufacturing experience with good references.Ability to stand and keep up in a fast paced environment.Poses a sense of urgency.Basic computer literacy.Able to execute other tasks assigned by Senior Management.Must be able to work with minimum supervision.Willing to learn and apply new skills.Experience with Blending, Encapsulation or cGMP environment a plus Working Conditions Dynamic manufacturing environment with physical demands.Must be physically able to lift and carry 50 lbs.repeatedly.Must be able to perform repetitive motion, bending, and lifting.Ability to standing for long periods of time.Manufacturing Operator Minimum Qualifications Elementary school diploma or equivalent; high school a plus.2-3 years with Blending Operator experience in a cGMP environment Be able to read and write, and perform basic math operations.Able to pass a drug screen Clean background check.Must have reliable transportation.Manufacturing Operator Success Factors Team mentality a must, able to follow direction, self motivated.Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $19.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Referral program Retirement plan Vision insurance Experience:GMP:1 year (Preferred) Cleanroom:1 year (Preferred) Manufacturing:1 year (Preferred) Shift availability:Night Shift (Preferred) Day Shift (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
