Job Title:Board Member Assistant Location:Useppa Island, FL Pay rate:Up to $30 an hour Useppa Island:Nestled in the heart of Southwest Florida's barrier islands, Useppa Island is a private, boat-access-only paradise known for its natural beauty, rich history, and close-knit community.Useppa Island Club is the centerpiece of this unique destination offering upscale dining, a world-class marina, charming guest accommodations, and recreational amenities in a tranquil, car-free environment.This is more than a resort.It's a legacy community where history, elegance, and nature converge.Job Summary:The Board Member Assistant provides high-level administrative, communication, and coordination support to members of the Board.This role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage documents, presentations, and digital platforms efficiently.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working with both traditional office tools and online platforms.Key Responsibilities: Provide administrative and logistical support to board members, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and coordinating calendars Draft, edit, format, and maintain professional documents using Microsoft Word Create, update, and analyze spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Excel Develop polished presentations and board materials using Microsoft PowerPoint Manage and organize board correspondence, records, and confidential documents Support communication initiatives, including updating social media accounts and assisting with content creation Maintain and update website content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and vendors as needed Assist with special projects, events, and board-related initiatives Required Qualifications: Proven experience in an administrative, executive assistant, or board support role Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience managing and updating social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram) Working knowledge of website content management systems (CMS) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail Preferred Skills and Attributes: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with basic analytics for social media and website performance Strong time-management and problem-solving skills Adaptable, proactive, and service-oriented mindset Education:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience) Job Type:Full-time Pay:$26.00 - $30.00 per hour Work Location:In person.
