Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Body Shop Manager to lead our automotive collision repair operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of the body shop, ensuring efficient workflow, exceptional customer service, and high-quality repairs. Your leadership will drive team performance, optimize repair processes, and uphold safety standards while fostering a positive environment that motivates staff and delights customers. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the body shop team, including technicians, estimators, and support staff, to ensure productivity and quality standards are met. Oversee daily shop operations, including workflow management, parts ordering, and scheduling to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction. Manage all aspects of auto body repairs such as collision damage assessment, frame straightening, dent removal, paint application, and refinishing. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and industry best practices across all shop activities. Develop and implement strategies for upselling additional services like alignments, oil changes, suspension work, tire services, brake repairs, transmissions, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and other automotive diagnostics. Maintain accurate service writing and auto estimating to ensure proper billing and profitability. Handle customer interactions professionally by providing transparent communication about repair processes and timelines while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Requirements Proven dealership or auto service management experience with a strong background in automotive repair operations. Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including auto body repair techniques. Familiarity with a wide range of services such as oil changes, tire service, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, transmission repairs, diesel engine work, shocks & struts replacement, air brake systems maintenance, and vehicle maintenance protocols. Experience in upselling services to enhance revenue while meeting customer needs effectively. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building lasting client relationships. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately along with auto estimating and service writing expertise. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience working as a service technician or mechanic is desirable but optional. Dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory; however, familiarity with automotive sales processes is advantageous.
