Summary Works under the general direction of the Outreach Services Manager providing safe transportation, maintaining the bookmobile, and assisting in the daily operations of the Library.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent and a clear driving record.Prior experience as a commercial driver preferred.Supervisory Authority:N/A Job Duties:Drive the Bookmobile to predetermined locations safely obeying all traffic laws.Monitor the Bookmobile for service and maintain vehicle.Assist the Outreach Service Manager with library operations of the vehicle including but not limited to loading and unloading inventory, scheduling and determining routes, and assisting library patrons.Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.Perform other tasks as required to ensure the smooth operation of the facility, such as painting and maintenance of facilities.Interprets Library policies and procedures for Library users in a customer-responsive manner.Other duties as assigned by the Outreach Services Manager or Library Director Working Conditions:Duties are performed outdoors, in an unconditioned garage space, and indoors in an office environment and require extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, talking and hearing with occasional periods of climbing or balancing, the pulling, pushing, lifting or carrying of items, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling and the use of commercial cleaning products and equipment.Weights up to 50 pounds are encountered.Vision requirements include close vision and ability to adjust focus.Pay:$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Benefits:Paid time off Retirement plan Work Location:In person.
