Duties Deliver professional hair styling services including cuts, color treatments, extensions, and special styling requests. Perform specialized services such as eyelash extensions, hair threading, makeup application, and nail care to enhance client satisfaction. Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace following all health regulations and salon sanitation standards. Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs, offering professional advice, and upselling retail products such as hair care or styling tools. Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, checking in appointments, and handling payments with retail math accuracy. Mentor junior stylists or apprentices when applicable, sharing techniques in color theory, hair extensions, or barbering skills to foster team growth. Skills Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, straight razor shaves, and special treatments like hair extensions. Strong knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management. Expertise in color theory to create customized color solutions for diverse hair types and preferences. Skilled in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. Experience with retail sales strategies including upselling products like styling tools or hair treatments. Ability to perform additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and hair threading. Excellent communication skills for engaging clients effectively and providing personalized consultations. Store management experience is a plus for overseeing daily operations when needed.
