Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Boutique Assistant Manager to join our dynamic retail team. In this pivotal role, you will lead daily store operations, foster a vibrant customer experience, and support sales growth through effective team management. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth store functioning, optimal inventory control, and exceptional service delivery. Responsibilities Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) transactions to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Manage inventory levels through regular stock checks, merchandising, stocking, and purchasing to maintain product availability and presentation standards. Lead and supervise sales associates by providing training & development opportunities, setting sales goals, and motivating the team to achieve targets. Implement effective merchandising strategies aligned with brand standards to enhance visual appeal and drive sales. Handle customer service inquiries with professionalism, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all clients. Coordinate employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and payroll processing to build a strong team foundation. Monitor retail math metrics such as sales performance, pricing strategies, budgeting, and inventory control to optimize store profitability. Conduct regular staff scheduling shifts management while ensuring efficient time management and organizational skills are maintained. Support marketing initiatives by assisting with promotional activities and community engagement efforts. Maintain accurate bookkeeping records related to sales transactions, expenses, and inventory movements in compliance with company policies. Experience Proven assistant manager or supervisory experience within a retail environment, preferably in boutique or specialty stores. Strong management skills with a track record of leading teams effectively in a fast-paced setting. Demonstrated proficiency in retail math including pricing, sales management, budgeting, and inventory control. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly advantageous for diverse customer interactions. Experience with POS systems, cashiering procedures, purchasing processes, and stock management tools. Knowledge of employee orientation practices, interviewing techniques, payroll administration, bookkeeping, and general administrative tasks. Familiarity with retail sales strategies such as merchandising, marketing campaigns, product stocking, and promotional displays. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining high standards of customer service and organizational efficiency.
