Position Overview The Branch Manager role at Thorpe Design, Inc. is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and growth of the Riverside branch. This position oversees sales, operations, and field execution, ensuring alignment with company objectives, safety standards, and customer expectations. The Branch Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, strengthening client relationships, and expanding market presence while maintaining operational excellence. As the primary leader of the Riverside branch, this role serves as the key connector between Sales, Field Operations, and executive leadership. The Branch Manager is accountable for developing strategic business plans, managing branch financial performance, and fostering a high-performing team culture. Success in this role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, in-depth knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, and the ability to balance business development initiatives with day-to-day operational oversight in a competitive market. Roles and Responsibilities Branch Leadership & Operations Provide overall leadership and direction for the Riverside branch, overseeing sales, operations, and field personnel. Ensure projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards. Act as the primary point of accountability for branch performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with executive leadership to align branch goals with company-wide strategic initiatives. Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Business Development & Sales Oversight Cultivate and expand relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships. Proactively identify new business opportunities through networking, referrals, strategic outreach, and market engagement. Represent the Riverside branch at industry events, trade shows, and community engagements to increase brand visibility. Support the Sales team in developing proposals, pricing strategies, and customer presentations. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regional opportunities to inform branch growth strategies. Lead or contribute to branch-level business development planning and revenue forecasting. Team Management & Collaboration Lead, coach, and develop branch staff, including sales, project management, and field operations teams. Promote effective communication and collaboration across all departments to ensure seamless project execution. Serve as a liaison between Sales, Operations, Finance, and other internal teams. Support internal training efforts and reinforce best practices across the branch. Financial & Administrative Oversight Oversee branch budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance. Ensure accurate tracking of sales pipelines, client interactions, and operational metrics. Review and analyze branch reports related to sales activity, operational performance, and forecasts. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Code Proficiency: Working knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, NFPA 13D, NFPA 20, and NFPA 24. Business Acumen: Ability to manage branch financials, budgets, and profitability. Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of addressing issues of moderate to high complexity by analyzing multiple variables and factors. Judgment & Decision-Making: Exercise sound judgment within established procedures to determine appropriate actions.
