Job Description
Branch Manager–Civil Construction Position Summary The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of a regional traffic control branch. This includes P&L management, revenue growth, field operations oversight, regulatory compliance, workforce development, and customer relationship management. The role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic growth initiatives with day-to-day operational excellence. Core Responsibilities: Direct and oversee all branch operations with full financial accountability. Develop and execute strategic plans to grow revenue and expand market presence. Build and maintain strong relationships with DOT agencies, municipalities, utility providers, and contractor clients. Manage daily operations including project planning, equipment allocation, fleet coordination, and inventory control. Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and applicable state and local traffic control regulations. Lead and promote a culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Recruit, train, mentor, and develop supervisors and field personnel. Review bids, contribute to pricing strategies, and ensure successful project execution. Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators such as revenue, margins, safety metrics, equipment utilization, and employee retention. Required Experience and Qualifications: Minimum of seven years of experience in traffic control, civil construction, infrastructure services, or a related industry. At least three years of leadership experience with direct P&L responsibility. Proven experience managing field-based teams in a service or construction environment. Strong knowledge of traffic control standards and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and improving operational performance. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience preparing bids and pricing project-based or service-based work preferred.
