About This Job: As a Breakfast Attendant at the Hampton Inn Newark Airport Elizabeth, you create a welcoming and efficient breakfast experience for our guests. You ensure a high standard of food quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction, contributing directly to a positive start to our guests' day. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares and serves breakfast items according to hotel standards. Maintains a clean and organized breakfast area, including tables, counters, and equipment. Stocks food, beverages, and supplies, ensuring adequate inventory levels. Greets guests with a friendly and positive attitude, addressing their needs and concerns promptly. Follows food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests. Monitors food temperatures and records data to meet health code requirements. Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas regularly. Disposes of trash and recyclables properly. Collaborates with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient breakfast service. Reports any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management immediately. Required Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a plus. Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrates excellent customer service skills. Possesses basic knowledge of food safety and handling procedures. Exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills. Works effectively as part of a team. Maintains a positive and professional attitude. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a hotel breakfast setting. Food handler's certification. Physical Requirements/Work Conditions: Stands for extended periods. Lifts and carries up to 25 pounds. Works in a fast-paced environment. Maintains a clean and professional appearance.
