BREAKFAST LINE COOK (MORNINGS/AFTERNOONS) Job Summary: Otto's Kitchen and Comfort is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented FULL TIME LINE COOK to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, a passion for quality food, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. As a Line Cook at Otto's, you’ll be responsible for preparing and executing menu items to our quality standards, opening and closing the kitchen, and contributing to a positive team atmosphere. This job generally starts between 7am-8am, and we're usually wrapped up and out the door around 3:30pm. Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards. Opening and Closing: Assist with both opening and closing procedures, ensuring all prep and cleaning tasks are completed efficiently. Station Set-Up: Organize and stock stations with necessary supplies, ensuring readiness for service. Weekend Availability: Ideally available to work weekends, as we operate during busy brunch hours. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace; ensure kitchen equipment and work areas meet sanitation standards. Menu Development: Aid head chef and management team in evolving menu, especially in creating weekly specials Inventory and Supplies: Assist in monitoring and restocking inventory as needed; communicate supply needs to maintain operational efficiency. Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality service, supporting team members as needed. Qualifications: Experience: Previous line cook or similar kitchen experience preferred. Skills: Strong knife skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle a physically demanding environment. Work Ethic: Punctuality, dependability, and a proactive approach to job responsibilities.
