Building Automation Engineer / Building Automation Designer / Building Automation Systems Designeris required to join an industry leader in Union City, CA.The successful Building Automation Engineer / Building Automation Designer / Building Automation Systems Designer will translate HVAC and control requirements into detailed technical documentation that supports field installation and procurement.Package:$80,000 – $120,000401(k) plan, PTODiscretionary profit-sharing planFully remote work environmentBuilding Automation Engineer / Building Automation Designer / Building Automation Systems Designer Responsibilities:Develop detailed BAS design documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and controls drawingsCollaborate with project teams to understand project scope, HVAC sequences, and control requirementsUtilize design and documentation tools such as Visio, Bluebeam, Niagara N4, Distech GFX, and Distech DesignerCreate and maintain accurate controls design packages to support procurement and field installationTranslate design intent into clear, professional graphical representations and system documentationSupport project managers by coordinating design activities and responding to technical questionsAddress design-related issues during construction and commissioning phases as neededParticipate in client meetings to review design concepts and provide technical explanationsBuilding Automation Engineer / Building Automation Designer / Building Automation Systems Designer Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred5+ years of experience in building automation systems, HVAC controls, or related disciplinesProficiency with Visio, Niagara N4, Distech GFX, Distech Designer, and BluebeamStrong understanding of BAS platforms and protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and Niagara FrameworkExperience creating controls drawings, BOMs, and technical design documentationCan live anywhere in US, preferably in CA
