What You Will Be Doing: Our professionals are the most important resource in our service commitment to our customers. We nurture a progressive environment where challenging, empowered, and purposeful work is celebrated. Our Building Inspector performs a variety of technical building inspection duties to enforce compliance with building codes, regulations, and ordinances. This is accomplished by performing work site inspections, offering assistance to developers, architects, contractors, and the general public, and resolving issues related to building code compliance. Other duties include performing a variety of technical tasks related to the services and programs of the Planning and Development Services Department and performing code enforcement of city ordinances. Possession of, or ability to obtain within 6 months, a State of Texas Plumbing Inspector License. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a State of Texas Code Enforcement Officer License. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Residential Energy Code Inspector Certification (ICC). Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Commercial Energy Code Inspector (ICC).
