Building Maintenance Engineer - Full-Time We are seeking a licensed, experienced, and highly dependable Building Maintenance Engineer to join our full-time maintenance team. The Building Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our properties. This is a hands-on role that requires technical skill, professionalism, and the ability to work independently. Role Overview Perform general building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and drywall repairs Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance issues proactively Respond promptly to maintenance requests from property management and tenants Maintain accurate records of all work orders, repairs, and inspections completed Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable codes, safety standards, and regulations Coordinate with vendors and contractors when work requires outside assistance Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, equipment, and tools Be available for on-call emergency maintenance as needed Requirements Valid and current trade license required (Journeyman or higher preferred) Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance or a related skilled trade Proficiency in at least two of the following: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall Must have reliable transportation and a valid Michigan driver's license Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair issues efficiently Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks Professional appearance and conduct at all times while on company properties Must pass a background check prior to employment
