Bus Driver

LanguageLiteracy Academy for Learning, Inc. is seeking a committed and responsible full-time Bus Driver to join our team in Winter Haven, FL. THE BASICS Pay : This full-time CDL driving position offers a competitive pay range of $18 to $20 per hour . Schedule : The Bus Driver will work a split schedule, operating from 5 AM to 8 AM and returning from 2 PM to 5 PM each day . This schedule will allow you to effectively transport students to school and their extracurricular activities. Benefits Health, dental, and vision Life insurance Paid time off (PTO) Short- and long-term disability Uniforms YOUR DAY AS A BUS DRIVER In this role, your day will begin with conducting thorough pre-trip inspections of the bus, ensuring it is in optimal condition for safe transport. You will follow a preplanned route to pick up and drop off students, driving carefully while adhering to traffic regulations and school board policies. Safety will be your top priority as you assist students in boarding and exiting the bus, instruct them on safety precautions, and maintain order during transit. You will communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff, reporting any disciplinary issues to the appropriate authorities. After completing your morning route, you will prepare for the afternoon commute, ensuring that each student arrives safely at their destination. REQUIREMENTS FOR A BUS DRIVER Passenger endorsement Commercial driver's license (CDL) School bus endorsement is a plus!
