Transdev in Chula Vista, CAis hiring a Bus Stop Technician.The Bus Stop Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of transit stop locations and transit centers. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Key Responsibilities Provides power steam cleaning of bus stop pads and locations using power steam cleaning equipment. Steam cleans transit centers, including multimodal transit centers and multipurpose transit stop locations. May use detergents and specialized solvents to clean bus stop and transit center concrete walkways, pads, and fixtures. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections of bus stop locations in advance of maintenance and repair work. Using skills from a variety of construction trades (painting, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, sheet metal work, for example), bus stop technician installs bus stop poles and signs at designated locations, either new installation or replacement. Frames and pours concrete pads when necessary to the installation of bus stop fixtures. Uses hand and power tools to repair, install and maintain bus stop signs, poles, concrete pads, fixtures. Drives half and three-quarters ton trucks and pulls trailer containing power equipment. Uses blue-prints, diagrams, drawings, and specifications in the installation of bus stop fixtures. May test and troubleshoot equipment and coordinates with Maintenance Department in repair of power equipment, and vehicles. Other duties as required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Must have valid California driver’s license. 21 years or older Excellent communication skills Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
