Job Title: Business Analyst - Algorithmic trading Job Type: Contract W-2 Job location: New York, New York ( Hybrid- 2 days onsite) Must have Front-office, in-house trade execution application (no high-frequency) execution life cycle A global bank is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Global Markets Pre-Trade IT team. The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing the algorithmic trading and real-time application capabilities. The Global Markets Pre-Trade IT team provides timely IT solutions for the Global Macro (Rates, FX), Equity/Securities Lending, and Credit businesses. Our technology stack encompasses Fidessa, Horizon Trading Solutions, Dash Financials, Bloomberg EMSX, ION, as well as various in-house solutions. Roles and responsibilities: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for algorithmic trading systems and real-time applications. Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in the context of Global Securities Financing and Equities. Develop and maintain detailed functional specifications and use cases to guide development teams. Facilitate communication between business units, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity on project goals and deliverables. Conduct data analysis to support trading strategies and decision-making processes. Participate in the testing and validation of new features and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business requirements. Provide ongoing support to users, addressing inquiries and assisting with training as needed. Requirements: Experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within financial services, focusing on algorithmic trading and real-time applications. Strong understanding of Global Securities Financing and Equities markets. Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, FIX messages). Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management practices.
