Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support claim automation initiatives within the health insurance industry. This Long-term Contract position will focus on translating business needs into clear requirements, improving operational workflows, and helping teams make informed decisions through data-driven analysis. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare and claims knowledge, excels at cross-functional collaboration, and is comfortable partnering with offshore teams when scheduling flexibility is needed. Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and organize business needs into detailed requirements, process documentation, and practical use cases for claim automation efforts. Perform in-depth business and data analysis to identify trends, uncover process gaps, and support informed decision-making. Take ownership of assigned deliverables by coordinating activities, tracking progress, and helping ensure timely execution of project objectives. Work closely with business partners, operational teams, and other stakeholders to align expectations, clarify priorities, and drive consensus. Create reports, presentations, and supporting documentation that communicate findings, recommendations, and project status effectively. Map current and future-state workflows to support process enhancements and operational efficiency improvements. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline claims-related processes and strengthen overall performance. Partner with team members across different time zones, including offshore resources, to maintain collaboration and project momentum. 5-10 years of experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, documentation, and process improvement work. Background in healthcare and claims environments, with the ability to understand business processes related to claim administration and automation. Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, reporting, modeling techniques, and developing actionable insights. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project for analysis, documentation, and presentation development. Hands-on experience creating business requirement documents, use cases, process maps, and other functional documentation. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders across business and project teams while managing multiple priorities effectively. Flexibility to support meetings with offshore teams outside standard hours on occasion, with rare need for extra time beyond the normal workday.
