Job Description
Role Summary We are seeking a Data & Performance Analyst to establish and maintain a company-wide performance measurement and reporting system.This role is responsible for building KPIs, dashboards, and analytical tools that measure performance at the employee, department, and company level.This role is both technical and analytical and will also support management decision-making by identifying what data should be collected, how performance should be measured, and where trends or issues require leadership attention.The Data & Performance Analyst will work closely with leadership and department managers to clean and organize company data, improve data quality, and deliver insights that support operational and strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities: Data Collection & Integration Collect, combine, and analyze data from multiple systems including TMS, accounting, ELD/telematics, CRM, and EDI where applicable Build and maintain structured datasets suitable for reporting and analysis Ensure data sources are reliable, consistent, and well-documented KPI & Metrics Development Help define, calculate, and maintain KPIs for Operations, Billing, Safety, Sales, and Administration Develop consistent metric definitions and performance standards Document formulas, logic, and data sources used in KPIs and reports Dashboard & Reporting Development Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI Develop automated reporting for daily, weekly, and monthly management use Ensure dashboards are accurate, easy to interpret, and aligned with business goals Performance Analysis & Decision Support Analyze trends, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies across the business Identify profitability by customer, lane, and equipment type Provide insight into productivity, response times, and cost drivers Present findings and recommendations to leadership and department managers Help leadership determine what data should be tracked to improve performance Data Quality & Process Improvement Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and quality issues Work with departments to improve data entry standards and data accuracy Build validation checks and quality controls Support standardization of data usage across systems Required Skills & Experience Technicalo Strong SQL and/or advanced Excel skills Strong experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design) Experience working with multiple data sources Strong data cleaning, transformation, and validation skills Business & Communication Ability to understand business workflows and convert them into measurable metrics Comfortable working with leadership and department managers Ability to clearly explain data and analysis to non-technical users Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in trucking, logistics, or transportation Familiarity with TMS systems (McLeod, Trimble, TMW, etc.) Experience working with EDI transaction data (204, 214, 210) Experience working with financial and accounting data At Grid-Line, we move with purpose.We're building a tech-powered operation designed for speed, efficiency, and excellence.If you thrive in a structured, high-accountability environment where your precision directly impacts compliance and safety, we want you on our team.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid holidays Paid time off Prescription drug insurance Work Location:In person.
