Job Description
Business Development Associate HR Tech, Talent Assessments & Growth Sales Role ForPsyte Talent Assessments Dallas-Fort Worth or Texas preferred | Remote eligible ForPsyte is a growth-stage talent assessment consulting, analytics, and SaaS company helping mid-market and enterprise organizations improve hiring quality, predict job performance, and reduce turnover through scientifically validated pre-hire assessments. We build job-specific hiring tools for managers, sales professionals, customer service teams, and frontline employees. Our clients do not get generic, off-the-shelf assessments. They get tools designed to help predict performance in the roles that matter most to their business. We are hiring a Business Development Associate who wants to help build the sales engine for a science-backed HR tech company. This is a strong fit for someone early in their B2B sales career who wants to build pipeline, learn consultative selling, work directly with a founder, and grow into broader sales ownership over time. Why This Role Is Different This is not a traditional appointment-setting role. You will start with outbound prospecting, pipeline generation, and early-stage opportunity development. But you will also help shape messaging, identify better-fit companies, participate in discovery and follow-up, and learn how SaaS, analytics, and consulting services are sold to HR, Talent, Operations, and business leaders. You will use modern sales tools every day, including HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Seamless.AI, email, calendar tools, and AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude. As you ramp, you will take on more ownership in discovery conversations and more transactional SaaS opportunities. Over time, this role can grow into a more strategic Account Executive or broader revenue ownership role. What You’ll Do · Prospect HR, Talent, Customer Service, Sales, and Operations leaders within mid-market and enterprise organizations · Build targeted outreach around hiring needs, business challenges, and talent priorities · Start consultative conversations around hiring quality, performance, turnover, leadership development, and workforce analytics · Execute outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels · Manage outreach, follow-up, notes, deals, tasks, and pipeline activity in HubSpot · Qualify opportunities and help move them through the sales process · Partner with the founder and consulting team during discovery, follow-up, solution design, and closing · Share market feedback, objections, buyer questions, and messaging patterns with the team Who This Role Is For This role is ideal for someone who: · Has 1 to 3 years of B2B sales, SDR, BDR, recruiting, staffing, business development, or related outbound experience · Is comfortable with outbound prospecting and consistent follow-up · Communicates clearly in writing and conversation · Is organized, reliable, coachable, and resilient · Enjoys using sales technology, CRM systems, and AI tools · Is curious about behavioral science, talent assessment, HR technology, or consultative selling · Wants to grow into broader sales ownership over time A bachelor’s degree in business, psychology, HR, communications, marketing, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience and a strong track record will also be considered. Compensation This role has an expected OTE of approximately $97,000 to $118,000 , depending on experience, role level, and goal attainment. Compensation includes a base salary, benefits stipend, performance incentives, and uncapped commission above the annual revenue target. Base salary is determined by experience, expected ramp speed, and level of sales ownership. Variable pay is tied to qualified discovery meetings, annual revenue achievement, closed revenue, pilot programs, and analytics consulting upsells.
