We are looking for an early team member who wants to help build something meaningful from the ground floor. Position Overview Allira Systems is seeking a highly driven Business Development Manager / Founding Sales Team Member who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and is willing to do whatever it takes to help grow the company. This is not a traditional sales role. We are looking for someone who can: generate new business, build systems and processes, help shape our go-to-market strategy, support customers after the sale, and eventually help build and lead a larger sales organization as the company grows. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with software sales and/or manufacturing sales experience who is comfortable with outbound business development, CRM automation, customer demos, and relationship building within the manufacturing industry. This role will work directly with the Founder & CEO and leadership team. Responsibilities: Business Development & Sales Generate new business through outbound prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry outreach Identify and develop relationships with manufacturing companies and decision-makers Schedule and conduct product demonstrations Travel to customer facilities and industry events as needed Build and manage a strong sales pipeline Help close early-stage customers and strategic partnerships CRM & Sales Process Automation Build and optimize CRM workflows and sales processes Manage and automate outbound systems using tools such as: HubSpot Apollo.io LinkedIn Sales Navigator AI-assisted outreach tools Continuously improve sales efficiency through automation and process improvement Customer Success & Early Support Assist with onboarding and post-sale customer support during the company’s early growth phase Help ensure customer satisfaction and long-term retention Serve as a bridge between customers and the internal product team Strategic Growth Help shape the company’s sales and go-to-market strategy Provide feedback from customers to product and leadership teams Participate in building future sales infrastructure and hiring processes Qualifications Required Experience in software sales, manufacturing sales, or industrial technology sales Strong outbound business development skills Comfortable with cold calling and prospecting Willingness to travel as needed Experience with CRM systems and sales automation tools Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Highly self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset Ability to operate independently in a startup environment Preferred Existing network within the manufacturing industry Experience selling ERP, SaaS, AI, automation, or industrial technology solutions Experience with HubSpot, Apollo.io, or similar platforms Marketing and content creation experience Startup experience Manufacturing operations knowledge Compensation Competitive base salary Performance-based commission structure Significant growth opportunity within the company Equity opportunity for early foundational team members based on performance and long-term contribution to the company This position has the potential to evolve into a senior sales leadership role as Allira Systems scales.
