Job Title: Business Development Manager Department: Strategic Business Development The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth. This role focuses on building strategic partnerships, expanding into new markets, and strengthening the company's customer base across retail, distribution, and food service channels. Position Reports to: Strategic Business Manager Key Responsibilities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including retail, distribution, and strategic partnerships Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning Lead negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract execution with prospective clients Collaborate with internal teams including sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain to ensure successful onboarding of new accounts Manage and track pipeline activity while providing regular updates and forecasts to leadership Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads and expand relationships Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies to improve conversion rates and return on investment (ROI) Requirements and Qualifications: 1-5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management required Proven track record of closing new business and achieving revenue targets Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required Experience in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods), food distribution, or retail channels including grocery, club, dollar, or ethnic markets preferred Existing network with key retailers, distributors, or brokers preferred Experience working with DSD (Direct Store Delivery) or wholesale distribution models Experience launching new products or entering new markets preferred Bilingual skills in Korean, Spanish, or Chinese strongly preferred Willingness to travel as needed Travel/Physical Demands: Work conducted within an office environment. Travel typically less than 25%. Ability to lift boxes up to 25 lbs. Job demands will require long periods of sitting, standing, telephone work, or computer work.
