We are looking for a full-time Business Office Assistant (Monday-Friday).The pay range is $21-$23/hr., depending on experience.We are a skilled nursing facility looking for dynamic associates to join our team and provide our guests with a care experience that will change their lives! JOB PURPOSE The Business Office Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting the Business Office Manager in performing accounts receivable related duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Admissions & Referral Support Assist with processing incoming referrals from hospitals, physicians, and community partners Verify insurance eligibility and obtain detailed benefit information prior to admission Assist with pre-admission financial screening and communication of coverage details Coordinate communication between Admissions, Nursing, Therapy, and families to ensure smooth admission transitions Ensure completion of required admission documentation in accordance with California regulations Authorization & Business Office Support Run and verify insurance eligibility (Medicare, Medi-Cal, Managed Care, and secondary insurance) prior to admission and throughout the resident stay Track, request, and obtain insurance authorizations in a timely manner; maintain detailed authorization logs Prepare, submit, and monitor Treatment Authorization Requests (TARs) for Medi-Cal as required Monitor authorization expiration dates and proactively notify the interdisciplinary team to prevent coverage lapses Support billing preparation by gathering required documentation and verifying payer coverage details Perform general clerical duties including filing, scanning, copying, data entry, answering phones, and responding to resident and family financial inquiries QUALIFICATIONS Experience, Competencies and Education:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Must have excellent customer service skills to interact with both internal and external customers.High level of professionalism, approaches others in a tactful manner Reacts well under pressure Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position Accepts responsibility for own actions Follows through on commitments.Is consistently at work and on time Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.Must have identifiable characteristics that complement the company core values.Must have at least 1 year of SNF billing experience for Private, Medical & Managed Medical Knowledge of Medi-cal applications Experience on working in a very fast-paced SNF facility Language Skills Ability to effectively communicate with clients, customers, and the general public.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.The employee is frequently required to sit.The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$21.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience:Business Office Assistant:1 year (Required) HMO Billing:1 year (Required) Skilled nursing facility:1 year (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
