The Giant Busser (Server Assistant) will be warm, hospitable, professional and exacting while providing above and beyond service in line with Giant standards and values. We are looking for well-presented, organized individuals who want to be part of a team long term. Must be available to work nights on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday . Responsibilities: Setting up, detailing, and maintaining dining room, tables, and stations to standards required Professional and accurate running of food and beverage items Maintaining service stations via efficient bussing to dish pit Assist service team with ongoing table and floor maintenance, including water service, clearing and cleaning tables, resetting tables, and restocking service tools, etc. Maintaining stock of water bottles and all relevant service-ware Assist in the cleaning and polishing of all tableware. Effectively communicating service irregularities to all Assisting in producing checks Understanding food menu and be able to answer general questions Understanding bar menu and to be able to answer general questions Respond to guest requests, communicating requests to server as needed Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service Skills & Requirements Willing to train the right person, but 2+ years of relevant experience preferred Must possess strong empathy and be team oriented Exceptional communication, service and floor skills Ability to work in an organized and meticulous manner with strong attention to small details Solution-focused, receptive to constructive criticism and general performance feedback Have strong interest in food & wine, & hospitality Uncompromising work ethic with a relish for new challenges Physical Demands The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
