Buyer Specialist - Temporary Hours:Monday - Friday - 8am - 4:30pm Employment Type:Temporary - 6 Months Pay Rate:$34 - $38 per hour Location:Whippany, NJ PrideStaff is recruiting for two motivated and detail-oriented Buyer Specialists on behalf of our client, a leading distribution and logistics provider in New Jersey.This is a 6-month temporary project with the potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.If you thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment and have a knack for negotiation and supply chain efficiency, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities Purchasing:Execute the procurement of products, materials, and services based on specific company needs.Supplier Management:Identify and evaluate suppliers for quality, price, reliability, and delivery performance.Negotiation:Manage contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure the best value.Order Management:Create and issue purchase orders with accurate specifications and follow up on any delayed or incomplete deliveries.Inventory Control:Monitor inventory levels and plan replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock situations.Problem Solving:Resolve supplier issues related to quality, quantity, or delivery discrepancies.Collaboration:Work closely with internal teams, including production, sales, and finance.Documentation:Maintain accurate purchasing records and support cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.Required Qualifications Proven experience as a Buyer, Purchasing Agent, or in a similar procurement role.Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships.Proficiency in inventory management and replenishment planning.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.Preferred Skills (Optional) Experience with vendor performance reporting and ethical sourcing compliance.Knowledge of import/export coordination and customs documentation Job Type:Full-time Pay:$34.00 - $38.00 per hour Benefits:Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
