Internal Posting Dates:March 11, 2026-March 16, 2026 CAH-Patient Accounting-Cashier - Full Time- Day Shift- 8a-4p-Req 9236 Pay Range-$22.09-$28.44 This is a skilled medical cashiering position.Please note the required experience.Assists patients in the settlement of their accounts, explains charges and answers related inquiries, receives and processes accounts receivable checks and other related mail, receives and processes petty cash disbursements for employees and prepares daily cash reports and balances cash on hand.REPORTS TO:Billing Office Manager EDUCATION:Required:Accounting background and computer skills preferred Preferred:High school diploma/GED TRAINING and Experience:Required:Person should have some medical terminology background and be familiar with computer software packages.Other essential qualifications include:1.Familiarity with insurance companies and their billing process both as primary and secondary carriers, to include workers compensation, no-fault, State of New York (prisons, SLPC, catastrophes, etc.) 2.Working knowledge of diagnosis coding and procedure coding (CPT ICD-10) The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants.It may be modified in the future.Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.Carthage Area Hospital and Claxton Hepburn Medical Center are Equal Opportunity Employers.Minority/Female/Disability/Veterans are encouraged to apply.Location:North Star Health Alliance PATIENT ACCOUNTING Schedule:Full Time, day shift, 8-4.
