Responsibilities Decorate cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods with intricate designs, piping, fondant, and edible embellishments to meet customer specifications. Prepare and assemble cakes, ensuring they are visually appealing and structurally sound for presentation and sale. Package finished products carefully to maintain freshness and presentation during handling and transportation. Assist in food production tasks such as mixing, baking, and preparing ingredients in accordance with food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating station, adhering to food handling regulations at all times. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of orders while upholding high-quality standards. Support kitchen operations by assisting with general food preparation, catering setups, or other duties as needed within the food industry environment. Skills Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry arts, or culinary arts with a strong portfolio of decorated baked goods. Excellent knife skills for precise trimming, carving, and finishing touches on cakes. Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures. Strong background in baking, food preparation, and kitchen experience within a restaurant or bakery setting. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional customer service skills to understand client requests and deliver personalized creations. Familiarity with packaging techniques that preserve product quality during delivery or display.
