California Licensed Assistant General Counsel

A company is looking for an Assistant General Counsel. Key Responsibilities Serve as a senior advisor on legal issues related to consumer platforms and operations Lead the borrower-side legal team and advise on personal loan and credit card programs Manage litigation and represent the company with state and federal regulators Required Qualifications J.D. with solid academic credentials and a State bar member in good standing 12+ years of relevant legal experience, including 3+ years in-house at a financial technology company, bank, or top-tier law firm Experience with financial services regulation, including GLBA, FCRA, TILA, ECOA, and others Demonstrated ability to understand business needs and provide sound legal advice Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
