Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly within a Level II Trauma Center. Duties Conduct comprehensive ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring high-quality imaging results. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound findings and provide accurate diagnostic evaluations. Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures, adhering to aseptic techniques. Document and maintain accurate records of ultrasound procedures and findings in compliance with medical standards. Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions prior to, during, and after examinations. Stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques and technologies to enhance diagnostic capabilities. Assist in training new staff or interns on ultrasound procedures and equipment usage. Skills Proficiency in telemetry and cardiology practices related to sonography. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and laboratory protocols. Familiarity with radiology practices and emergency medicine procedures. Excellent understanding of medical terminology relevant to sonography. Ability to assess vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to patient needs. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage patient records efficiently.
