CASUAL POSITION Scope to Work Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations consisting of: Two-dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler, m-mode; trans esophageal; exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms; saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients. Instruction of medical personnel in the technical performance, clinical application, and cardiac pathology as it pertains to cardiac ultrasound. May act as a mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students. This is a Cardiac Ultrasound position; only RDCS, ACS, or RCS credential is required . Qualifications Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent. Minimal as gained at student level. Registered by American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registry eligible, paid at the trainee rate for up to 1 year. If unregistered must obtain at least one (ABD or OB/GYN) within 1 year from hire. Additional registry within two years from date of hire. If registered at hire additional registry must be obtained within 1 year from hire. RDCS or CCI (no exemption accepted, must pass both parts of exam) status is required by department. CRT-Vascular Tech-ARDMS- within 1 year from hire for Vascular Department. Basic Life Support
