Work Shift: (40 hrs. per week, M-F) Days, Nights, Weekends and on-calls may be required Work Location: University of Miami Hospital UTower - Cardiac Echo Lab UTower CORE JOB FUNCTIONS Detects defects or irregularities using ultrasound equipment Positions patients and explains procedure. Performs quality control functions Evaluates ultrasounds for diagnostic quality. Prepares and sets up medical supplies using aseptic techniques Develops ultrasound film and matches it with the appropriate paperwork for interpretation Assists in maintenance and compilation of statistical data Provides orientation to new cardiac ultrasound technologists. CORE QUALIFICATIONS Education High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or Vascular accredited program.
