Job Summary The Care Professional provides compassionate, high-quality, in-home care to older adults, enabling them to live safely and comfortably at home. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping others, building relationships, and making a difference in the lives of seniors. Care Pros assist clients with daily activities, companionship, and personal care needs while ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional support. Prior professional caregiving experience not required. We provide comprehensive training for every new Care Pro. Key Responsibilities Personal Care Services: Provide hands-on assistance to help clients maintain independence and comfort, including: Assist with personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral care) Provide incontinence care and toileting assistance Offer mobility assistance, including help with walking and transferring (from bed, chair, or wheelchair) Assist with eating and drinking as needed Provide medication reminders and monitor for side effects Deliver specialized care for clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other cognitive conditions Support morning wake-up and evening tuck-in routines Companionship and Emotional Support: Enhance the clients emotional and social well- being by: Offering meaningful conversation and emotional support Engaging clients in stimulating activities (e.g., hobbies, games, crafts) Encouraging and assisting with social outings and appointments Assisting with clothing selection and personal appearance Helping clients maintain a sense of independence and dignity Home Support Services: Help clients maintain a safe and comfortable living environment by: Performing light housekeeping (e.g., dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, laundry) Preparing and serving meals according to dietary needs Running errands (e.g., grocery shopping, collecting prescriptions) Assisting with mail, home organization, and appointment scheduling Providing pet care and plant care as needed Answering the door and supervising home maintenance visits May require you to provide or coordinate occasional transportation to appointments and social engagements Support clients with mobility and navigating their environments Health and Safety Monitoring: Monitor changes in the clients health and emotional state, and report concerns to the care manager Keep accurate records of client care and daily activities Ensure a safe and clean environment to reduce risks and hazards Secondary Responsibilities Attend company-sponsored training and social events, including team meetings Report work hours according to office policies Complete 12 CEUs per year Communicate changes in availability or schedule in a timely manner Complete client care logs accurately and on time with your signature Participate in client satisfaction surveys and improvement initiatives Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should have: Highschool diploma or GED equivalent Must be 21 years of age or older Experience in caregiving, healthcare, or a similar field (preferred) All Care Professionals are required to work one weekend per month Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification (when applicable) Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30 lbs Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families Flexibility and adaptability to work with clients in varying home environments and conditions Punctual, dependable, and capable of working independently Valid drivers license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle (if required) Key Competencies Compassion and Empathy Ability to connect with clients and provide emotional support Adaptability Ability to adjust care approaches based on client needs and changing conditions Professionalism Maintain confidentiality and respect for client privacy Attention to Detail Strong observation and documentation skills Problem-Solving Ability to think critically and handle
