JOB SUMMARY: THIS IS AN ANTICIPATED OPENING. The successful applicant will provide instruction for 7- 8th grade students for Career Connections at Kenton Ridge Middle School. Qualifications Include But Not Limited To The applicant must have or be able to obtain for the 2026-2027 school year a current, valid Ohio teaching license that includes grades 7-12th AND the following: (Please note the district will assist the successful candidate with the process to obtain the necessary validations and/or supplemental license.) o Career Tech WFD License - OR- CTE Middle School Validation Solid knowledge of career connections concepts with a passion for designing learning experiences using diverse instruction techniques with an emphasis on meaningful, real-world applications aligned to viable career pathways. Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for teaching and demonstrated ability to individualize instruction and work with students having a variety of needs and abilities. Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills; excellent communication skills. Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies. Meets all mandated health and background screening requirements including FBI/BCI checks. Major Duties And Responsibilities The following duties are representative of performance expectations. Collaborates with Springfield-Clark CTC and Kenton Ridge staff and leadership. Develops and maintains a positive learning environment that engages students in the curriculum. Has the ability to grow the program. Build relationships with local businesses to support student learning, provide appropriate in-demand industry credentials. Evaluates student performance and consults with parents/guardians as needed. Implements effective student management procedures. Maintains standards and upholds student code of conduct. Stimulates student interest. Maintains accurate records and submits reports on time. Promotes a favorable image of both Springfield-Clark and Northeastern school districts. Assumes any other responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Education, Superintendent, or Administration. SALARY: Placement on certified salary chart based on field experience, education, and credentials.
