Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Career Specialists to empower individuals with disabilities in achieving their employment and educational goals . In this role, you will serve as a dedicated guide, providing personalized support, mentorship, and workforce development strategies to diverse populations, including those with developmental disabilities, autism, mental health disabilities, physical disabilities, and more. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help clients overcome barriers, develop essential skills, and connect with meaningful employment opportunities. Responsibilities Assist clients in exploring career interests, strengths, and goals through engaging assessments and conversations Develop tailored employment plans that align with each individual’s skills, preferences, and needs Provide coaching on job search techniques, interview preparation, resume writing, workplace etiquette, and how to maintain employment. Support clients in understanding employment laws such as labor rights and accommodations for disabilities Mentor individuals to enhance social skills and workplace readiness Collaborate with community partners, employers, and training providers to create job opportunities. Guide clients through the recruitment process by preparing them for interviews and follow-up activities Assisting clients with selecting and applying for post-secondary schooling opportunities. Assisting clients with developing skills for independent transport including training in the use of the Valley Metro transit system Requirements Background in working with individuals with disabilities Excellent interviewing, mentoring, recruiting, and training & development skills Ability to build trusting relationships with diverse populations through empathetic communication Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with community organizations, employers, and schools Ability to write monthly client reports Must have valid drivers license and own transportation Must have or be able to obtain an Arizona level one fingerprint clearance card Must have own laptop This role is ideal for energetic professionals passionate about fostering independence and growth in others.
