Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team for overnight shifts on Fridays and Saturdays. In this vital role, you will provide attentive, respectful, and personalized care to residents in a supportive environment. Your efforts will ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued during their night hours, promoting their well-being and independence. Responsibilities Monitor residents’ safety and well-being throughout the overnight shift by conducting regular patient observations and checking vital signs as needed. Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals and snacks aligned with dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring proper meal documentation. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Observe for any changes in residents’ conditions or behaviors related to dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other cognitive impairments, reporting findings promptly. Skills Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home care, or long-term care environments. Knowledge of patient care procedures including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care. Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; familiarity with HIPAA compliance is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate patient handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing early signs of health issues or behavioral changes. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members while maintaining resident dignity and privacy.
