The owner of a private residential estate is offering a dream job for someone interested in maintaining organic gardens and grounds on 20 acres in Appling, GA.This seems and ideal job for someone with a green thumb, a jack of all trades, or the not quite ready to retire.On the property sits a 6,000 sq ft house with a pool and a pond containing various fish.Some of the land is landscaped with ornamental trees and bushes that will require ongoing pruning and care and some of the land has been left wooded and natural.It is private and very peaceful.Future development includes planting and maintaining organic herb and vegetable gardens using renewable, sustainable practices (composting, mulching and natural pest management), a lifestyle to which the owner is very committed.We plan to raise honeybees.By keeping bees, we can support pollination and produce local, natural honey and beeswax, reducing reliance on processed products and supporting a sustainable lifestyle.We have plans to build a greenhouse and create a walking path around the property.The path will be suited for walking, biking, or riding a golf cart and will include a bridge over the pond and foliage and landscape lighting along the path.Our plan for the future includes building cabins on the property, one of which can house the employee who will maintain the property.We are looking for an individual who: Has the ability to work independently with attention to detail Is hardworking and trustworthy Takes pride in a job well done Has the skills and ability to complete maintenance tasks Has the knowledge of or willingness to learn organic gardening Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education level.Certification or a degree in Horticulture, Urban Agriculture, Landscape Specialist or similar is preferred, but not required.We look for individuals with a high degree of personal discipline and a clear vision for their future.Our culture is built on presence, accountability, and the mental clarity required to meet the challenges of professional and family life head-on.We maintain a drug-free workplace to support these values.Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $25.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Work Location:In person.
