Carpenter / Handyman – Lunar Handyman Service & Construction About Us Lunar Handyman Service & Construction is a fast‑growing, carpentry‑forward home services company serving the Rochester & Irondequoit area. We specialize in premium residential work, clear communication, and craftsmanship that stands out. We’re expanding our field team and looking for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in their work and can represent our brand on‑site. Position: Carpenter / Handyman (Full‑Time, W‑2) We’re seeking a skilled, reliable, and professional Carpenter/Handyman with experience in residential carpentry, home remodeling, and general home repair. The ideal candidate can work independently, follow scope direction, and deliver clean, code‑compliant results with a high level of finish. Key Responsibilities Build and repair decks, stairs, railings, and exterior structures Perform interior carpentry : trim, framing, doors, drywall, cabinetry adjustments Support kitchen and bathroom remodels (demo, carpentry, tiling a plus) Complete general home repairs: flooring, minor plumbing, minor electrical, hardware installs Follow job scopes, communicate professionally with clients, and maintain a clean worksite Load/unload materials, operate tools safely, and uphold company standards Work independently or with a small crew depending on project size Qualifications 3+ years experience in carpentry, remodeling, or skilled trades Ability to build decks and exterior structures confidently Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Professional communication and customer‑service mindset Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions Must be punctual, organized, and able to manage a jobsite with minimal supervision Preferred Skills (Not Required) Tiling experience Drywall finishing Light plumbing or electrical Experience with permits, code compliance, or project documentation What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Consistent year‑round work Supportive, professional team environment Opportunities for advancement as we continue to scale Branded, organized workflows that make your job easier Who Thrives Here Someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, communicates clearly, and enjoys a mix of carpentry and problem‑solving.
