What will the Carrier Coordinator do? The Carrier Coordinator is responsible for supporting all freight brokering activities, including coordinating with outside carriers and Independent Contractors as needed.This role plays a crucial part in driving operational excellence while maintaining and adding seamless logistics processes What is the Carrier Coordinator responsible for? New Carrier Review & Setup Documentation Review:Review new and existing carrier documentation (COIs, Brokerage agreements, etc.) through RMIS.Must know insurance requirements and understand basic policies.Communication:Coordinate with carriers and insurance agents regarding document requirements.System Management:Help maintain active carrier profiles in EveryFleet through RMIS.Onboarding:Distribute application links to prospective carriers through RMIS.Operational & Dispatch Load Management:Review carrier loads every morning and update as needed.Assign and dispatch loads to carriers effectively.Tracking & ETA:Communicate with carriers on ETAs and update Operations/Dealer Relations regarding any delays.Relationship Building:Understand carrier needs and preferred lanes while building and maintaining long-term relationships.Carrier Support:Work with carriers for specific load coverage and educate them on the EveryFleet Admin Portal and Driver app.Efficiency:Collaborate with regional dispatchers to develop the most efficient loads for carrier and VTC needs.System Accuracy:Input client data accurately, provide updates to clients, and ensure correct dates/times are updated client apps.Market Analysis:Update the Secondary Market sheet with carriers, dates, and times.Network Expertise:Maintain a thorough understanding of the VTC contracted network and client applications.What knowledge, skills and abilities are required for the Carrier Coordinator role? Experience:3-5 years of relevant dispatch or brokerage experience is required.Technical Proficiency:Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and an aptitude for learning systems like EveryFleet and RMIS.Communication:Persuasive communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence positive behavior with drivers and brokers.Critical Thinking:Strong analytical and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives based on cost, customer expectations, and needs.Organization:High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and organize information under pressure.Problem Solving:Excellent math and conflict-resolution skills, maintaining a professional demeanor during shipment issues.Flexibility:Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-call-volume environment; must be able to handle emergency calls after standard business hours.What are the physical demands of the Carrier Coordinator role?
