Overview The Carrier Sales Manager leads carrier procurement and capacity strategy for a high-volume truckload brokerage. This role is responsible for building a reliable carrier network, driving team performance, and ensuring consistent coverage across core lanes. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of Carrier Sales Reps; set activity and performance expectations Build and manage a strong carrier network in key markets (Southeast, Midwest, Southwest) Drive consistent load coverage while optimizing cost and service Strengthen relationships with core carriers to support high-volume lanes Track KPIs (coverage, margin, utilization) and improve performance through data Partner with Sales and Ops to support growth and execution Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in freight brokerage or carrier sales Leadership experience preferred (team lead, supervisor, or player-coach) Strong understanding of truckload capacity and pricing Experience with CRM/TMS systems (Salesforce, McLeod, etc.) Data-driven and highly organized What Success Looks Like High load coverage and strong service performance Improved carrier utilization and network density Consistent margin performance Productive, accountable team Why CoVar High-growth, performance-driven brokerage Opportunity to build and scale a carrier network Direct impact on operations and profitability
