The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers, ensuring they leave satisfied and eager to return. Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions quickly and accurately. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their inquiries. Upsell products and services to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Perform merchandising tasks including stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability. Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new items. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and surrounding spaces. Assist in training new cashiers or team members as needed, utilizing your supervising experience. Utilize basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and retail math calculations. Requirements Previous cashiering experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse clientele. Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone is a plus. Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately.
