Cashier / Deli Person

Job OverviewJoin our team as a Cashier / Deli Person, where you'll be the friendly face that greets our customers! In this role, you'll handle cash transactions with speed and accuracy, prepare food for customers in a timely manner, and ensure our deli and retail areas are clean and organized in a fast paced environment.Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service at the cashier station and deli counter Operate POS systems which includes fuel sales to process sales efficiently and accurately Prepare and serve fresh food items, including sliced meats, cheeses, and other deli products while maintaining food safety standards Handle cash transactions, process payments, give correct change, and manage cash handling procedures with precision Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches and other fast food items, following sanitation guidelines Maintain cleanliness of the deli area, including sanitizing surfaces, restocking supplies, and proper food handling practices Experience Previous experience in foodservice and gas sales is highly preferred Familiarity with POS systems like Verifone Commodore is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while multitasking efficiently Ability to follow instructions and store policy is needed Our goal is to deliver outstanding service and quality food in a friendly, efficient atmosphere.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$12.00 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours:34 per week Work Location:In person.
